But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.” (Leviticus 19:33-34 KJV).
The Church is a body (holy nation) of believers who exist in a nation called America and other nations as well.
“Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.” (Exodus 19:5-6 KJV).
The Church is the only Christian Nation.
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.” (1 Peter 2:9-10 KJV).
We need to follow men who preach truth.
Facts can be and sometimes are highly questionable. Truth is true whether it is questioned or not. Therefore facts, which are obtained by human reasoning, and because they are highly questionable, will never be able to bring us to the knowledge of the truth.
“Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (2 Timothy 3:7 KJV).
“If we do not have a perception of God as Creator, then we have no foundation for truth or reality.” Art Katz
“That science that opposes the truth of the gospel is falsely so called; it is not true science, for if it were it would approve of the gospel and consent to it.” Matthew Henry Commentary (1 Timothy 6:20).
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.“ (2 Timothy 4:3-4 KJV).
“…Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:
Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 1:2-3 KJV).
God decides who will be allowed to become members of his holy nation.
“For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call .” (Acts 2:39 KJV).
“Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.” (Acts 2:47 KJV).
WE must keep in mind that according to, 1st Peter 2:9-10, the CHURCH is an “holy nation”.
Absolutely! All those verses dealing with widows and orphans and loving your neighbor as yourself do apply.

However, we know that the bible says,

The word of God also states that Heaven’s gates are always open.
“And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.“ (Rev 21:25 KJV).
Execute the Judgment of Truth and Peace in the Gates of God’s Holy Nation.
“These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates:
And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the LORD.” (Zechariah 8:16-17 KJV).
Our opinions are not gospel! Followers of Christ and citizens of God’s holy nation do not socialize with people of other nations just for the sake of hanging out.
The Nation of the Living God
“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” (2 Corinthians 6:14-18 KJV).
