We must study the word of God so that we can understand what the will of God is. We will not escape the judgement if we sin even without understanding and knowledge of the word of Christ. We must study how to be obedient, and we will not be ashamed before him when he returns.
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15 KJV ).
“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” (1 John 2:1-2 KJV).
“And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the LORD; though he wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity. “ (Leviticus 5:17 KJV).
