“Swaggart’s comments elicited much criticism across social media, but one of the loudest came from outspoken activist Church Of God In Christ pastor, Bishop Talbert Swan, who rebuked Swaggart “in the name of Black Jesus.”

“Since this bigot, cosplaying as a preacher, came for my denomination, the Church Of God In Christ, my leader, Bishop J. Drew Sheard, and the Black church in general, let me offer this saved, sanctified, Holy Ghost filled clap back to his racist, hypocritical temper tantrum about black people not supporting Donald Trump,” Swan began in an extended response on X Wednesday.

“The evangelical church’s selective morality — opposing certain sins like abortion or homosexuality while embracing mass violence, exploitation, and white supremacy — reveals a deep hypocrisy and exposes the fact that their allegiance is to power and racial domination, not to the gospel they claim to follow,” Swan argued.””

Jesus will build his Church, One Body with Many Members

In Matthew 16:18 Jesus said that he will build his church. Jesus is building his church, Jesus is not building a black church, a white church, evangelical church or a catholic church.

“For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

For the body is not one member, but many.” (2 Corinthians 12:12-14 KJV)

“For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:

So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.” (Romans 12:4-5 KJV)

“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” (Matthew 16:18 KJV)

“In this land, the various religious denominations have greatly contributed to building and strengthening society.” (Pope Francis)

ECCLESIASTICAL-SOCIETY (1 OF 1) noun (in Congregational churches) a legal corporation with power to sue and be sued and to administer all of the temporalities of the church.

The many voices of the various religious denominations have done absolutely nothing to bring about righteous unity.

“Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.” (1 Corinthians 1:10 KJV)

“Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.” (Philippians 3:15-16 KJV)

Racial segregation of churches in the United States and churches all around the world is why the Protestant church has a form of righteousness but lacks the power of Christ. There is a lack of true unity in the Protestant church because just like the Israel that came out of Egypt, they lack faith in Christ, the living Word of God. There’s a living Church among us but she isn’t received by the masses. Religious leaders do their best to shut down true believers who assemble to pray and worship the one true God in Christ. They are challenged every day but these believers have faith in Christ not a religious system or a denomination. If you sincerely practice the word of God you will be hated.

“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” (2 Corinthians 6:14-18 KJV)

Division, denomination and schism weaken the Church

“That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.” (1 Corinthians 12:25-27 KJV)
