A WORD OF CAUTION

The church, indeed all believers, must acknowledge before God that we have not lived according to His will (word)1. We as a people, not only black people, but all of us have strayed from the word of God. We have been chasing the “Dream”, but not the God of the “Vision”. Blacks and whites are fighting one another while seeking to obtain the very same end. We absolutely must awaken to the realization, that the time for unity is now.

Together we who profess to be Israel, spiritual or otherwise must accept responsibility for our present idolatry, prejudice, racism, hate, unforgiveness, hopelessness, fearfulness, violence, gang activity, poverty, teenage pregnancies, adultery, sexual immorality, etcetera.

If we, the people of God, would admit that we have strayed from walking in love and unity, to walk in our own righteousness, we would find favor with God once again. We need to repent of our coldness and lack of faith toward God and His promises.

God is not going to lead us into His promises until we are walking in His righteousness. If we as Israel, the people of God, refuse to hear and obey God, then we will not inherit His promise to prosper us as a people.

Therefore the church must repent of not standing in intercession for Israel, our communities, cities, and the nations. There will be no prosperity apart from the judgment of God because the church has sinned against God in that we have been slothful in obeying the word (commandments) of God.

We have become a stubborn and rebellious people. We have become an adulterous people lusting after other gods (sports, money, houses, politics, etcetera). We (pastors, church leaders, etcetera) have become thieves and robbers because we have held back the truth, the full counsel of God’s word from our communities and churches. Our children have become an embarrassment unto us because we refuse to bring them up to hear the voice of God in these last days.

“Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is just.
Honour thy father and thy mother, which is the first commandment with a promise,
that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest be long-lived on the earth.
And ye fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and admonition of the Lord.” (Ephesians 6:1-4 DBY)

Thank God that He is not quick to anger. Our God is a merciful God who is willing to forgive all of our sins,

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son” (John 3:16-18 NIV) .
